And we’re back for part three. The part in which we realize… oh man. This is going to be our first four-part queen! Yes, this woman’s life is so “extra-extra read all about it” that we can’t even kind of fit it all into three hours. GIRL NEEDS A PART FOUR WHAT WHAT!?
In part two Catherine came out of her cage (and she’s doing JUST fine). Then, she convinced like a whole military to help her with a coup. And now in part three, we see what Catherine will do with her newfound empress…ness!
So, what’s a forward-thinking, Enlightenment-obsessed girl to do when handed such a “vast empire” that may or may not even have a map completed of it? She starts working to further her people, but… do the people WANT to be furthered?

Despite the pushback from all sides, Catherine works day and night to get Russia in the game of major players on the European scene. In this episode, we also meet a one-eyed stud muffin and there may or may not be a secret marriage?
